Favourite projects of 2023

by Capsule Marketing on 22nd December 2023

As we head to the end of 2023 and into a new year, we take a step back to reflect on what has been an extremely busy year for Capsule. As a business, we’ve gone through peaks and troughs, the same as any other business taking a head on approach on how best to support our clients and new prospective clients through a tough financial year. We are so grateful to all of our longstanding and new clients that we get to work with whether that is by creating a new website design and build, filming a promotional video or supporting them with ongoing digital marketing. We have new goals and big plans for 2024, but let’s take a moment to reflect on what our full-service in-house team have to say about their favourite projects from the past year.

A diverse and creative year – Sakura Dunn, Operations Director

There have been some fantastic projects the team have delivered this year, including some fresh and modern new website builds, like Diode’s fab new site and amazing event stand designs. But the project I’ve enjoyed the most has to be the brand proposition workshop and new creative we delivered for our client the National Institute of Teaching. Meeting the team at NIoT in Manchester was a joy, and working together to drill down on their USPs and how the brand should look and feel was a fun and rewarding challenge. The outcomes are some of the best work we’ve done, and I’m proud of how the team came together to deliver for our client.

Sovereign Labelling SEO and website improvement – Besjona Morina, Admin and Marketing Assistant

At Capsule I usually work on various projects and with different clients on a day-to-day basis. It’s quite challenging to find one specific project since I’ve worked on many different tasks and projects. However, there is one particular project and client that I have enjoyed working with, and that is Sovereign Labelling. Recently, I had the opportunity to review their website and come up with a plan to improve their site, SEO, and marketing. I thoroughly enjoyed creating the ideas, and I’m eagerly looking forward to executing them in the new year and seeing the results of our collaboration. Working with Thomas has been great, and he has played an important role in keeping us on the right path by sharing his ideas, thoughts, and goals for the business. I am looking forward to working with new and exciting projects in 2024 and seeing what the new year has in store for us! Read more about our work here

Guides & Webinars  – Laura Shewbridge, Marketing Manager

The 2023 marketing strategy was packed with new guides, webinars, networking events and the launch of Capsule+. It’s quite a challenge to choose which has been my favourite! We held a few webinars this year and published some interesting new whitepapers too. Every new guide or webinar requires input from the whole team. I love how we all work collaboratively to bring an idea to life from the content, design, landing page development, social posts and email promotion. Sharing our experiences and ideas with others is something we’re passionate about and we’ve forged some great new connections with people who have attended our webinars or downloaded our guides. You can view our guides and webinar recordings.

Space East – Georgia Monk, Operations Manager & Lead Developer

With so many web development projects completed this year, it’s hard for me to choose one specific project that was my favourite but one particular project I loved from start to finish had to be the creation of the Space East project. From the design, to the creation of the website I really enjoyed working closely with the team at New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership. With a bright colour palette and exciting message, this website has additional movement and micro interactions to create that extra level of user interaction.

Stanbridge – Chay Kelly, Digital Marketing Executive

I typically work on our retained clients rather than on specific projects so my highlight this year has been continuing to work with the team at Stanbridge. We have been working together for the last couple of years and in 2023 we have had lots of successes, including a 10%+ increase in organic traffic, a 133% increase in organic conversions and revamped their email marketing. I’d like to give a special thanks to Margot, Claire and Nicky who have all been very receptive to our ideas and have added their expertise to everything we do!

Pet’sUp Christmas Campaign – Fran Smith, Account Manager

With specialisms ranging from boat rigging to teacher training, from air-conditioning to leasing platforms, the clients I work with at Capsule Marketing vary a lot. However, the one thing they all have in common is how nice they are to work with. So, since joining in April, my time at Capsule in 2023 has been great, and the cherry on top of this year has to be the Pets’Up Christmas campaign. As a dog mum,  Christmas fanatic, and someone who spends far too much time on TikTok, this project really leaned into my personal interest and knowledge.

Pet’sUp – Abi Pethers, Digital Marketing Executive

Having started just over a month ago and already being able to work on some amazing accounts it is hard to decide my favourite project of 2023. A project that stands out to me would be managing the Pet’s Up PPC campaigns. This particular project aligns with my eCommerce experience and allows me to utilise Google Shopping as well as other google campaign types. Not to mention looking at happy pups!

Sovereign/exhibition display  – Ian Girling, Senior Designer

I only started working for Capsule in August, but there have already been many highlights; from designing apps for the public sector, to filming festive TikTok adverts. One of the stand-out projects for me was creating a new exhibition stand for Sovereign Labelling. It was one of my first briefs at Capsule and I really enjoyed getting to know the client and what they do.  We received some wonderful feedback after the exhibition and It was great to visit the factory for a photoshoot where we saw the finished display in all its glory.

Branding/logo for new client – Harley Turner, Junior Designer

Since joining the Capsule team I have already had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from large-scale print work to social posts and video/animation to branding. A stand-out project for me since starting would have to be working on the branding concepts for a new company. Getting to sit in on the initial client meeting, then working alongside Ian to both come up with various concepts in response to the brief, before finally presenting them to the client was something I really enjoyed.

In conclusion for 2023, a message from our Founder Simon Isaac.

In our twelfth year as a business, I am heartened by the continued success we have enjoyed which is a result of such a great team of people in the business and amazing clients to work with. Every day is different in agency world, and I have never tired of it, twenty years in!

I’d like to thank everyone at Capsule for all they have done in 2023 and also our loyal clients for their continued support. 2024 will bring many changes and opportunities for us all, in particular as AI becomes a lot more prevalent in our lives, let us make the best of this and have a successful new year, each and every one of us.
