Exhibition Marketing support at Transport Logistic 2019

Global Port Operator DP World wanted to make an impact at Europe’s leading transportation and logistics event. Capsule worked with them to create a set of stunning supporting exhibition materials.

What we did

Capsule have worked with DP World’s European Regional Office communications team since 2018. We have developed marketing materials for DP World which, recently, supported DP World’s presence at the world’s leading trade fair for Transport, IT, Mobility and Supply Chain Management: ‘Transport Logistic 2019’, in Munich. 

There was a significant draw to the event, with 63 countries represented by 2,000 exhibitors, and around 64,000 visitors from around the world. This was a significant opportunity for DP World to connect with a relevant, engaged customer base, and therefore they required a focused and resonant campaign supported by a range of marketing materials. 


Key Deliverables: 

  • Targeted digital marketing campaign: prior to the fair, the campaign began with targeted e-mail activity that invited visitors to book an appointment with the team. A range of messages were delivered over a period of weeks, driving traffic to a dedicated landing page.
  • Monitored digital activity: During the event, organic and paid digital activity, including a geofenced targeted advertising campaign through Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook was run. This activity delivered a reach of around 120,000 engagements over all channels. 
  • Stand-out Marketing assets: Capsule produced a range of brochures for the stand. A key piece was a 42cm tall brochure, featuring a selection of Infographics that we developed with DP World over a 12 month period, examples of which can be found here. The fold-out DP World timeline provided a unique sense of history and heritage, which emphasised the experience of the DP World team. 
  • Video Production: Supporting the DP World display, Capsule developed an on-stand video, combining footage of European ports, animations and details of provided services at the ports.

Event Filming and Photography: This was completed on-stand to provide DP World with a range of assets to promote the exhibition post-event to both internal and external audiences.
