Capsule’s Favourite Projects In 2022

by Capsule Marketing on 22nd December 2022

Over the last year we’re proud to have worked on so many great projects for our clients. We’ve designed and built websites, created eye catching event stands and grown our clients businesses with search, social and email marketing. With so many great projects and success stories it’s been a challenge for our team to pick their favourite projects in 2022 but here are some of our favourites!

Simon, Founder

One of the projects I’ve enjoyed working on this year has been the Norfolk & Suffolk Unlimited inward investment campaign. What have I liked about it? To begin with, we created 10 films which required us to storyboard and film in some amazing locations, including 3D driving simulators, scientific food laboratories and some of the world’s leading tech companies. This was combined with some pretty technical content creation, requiring in-depth research by our copywriting team which all went to create the global ‘Clarity’ campaign targeting regions across North America and Asia.

Georgia, Web Developer

There’s been lots of fun and exciting projects as well as challenges that have pushed my abilities and skills throughout the year. Some of the most recent projects I have really enjoyed working on are FAB Communications and Suffolk Resilience Forum for a complete redesign and rebuild.

After working on multiple public sector websites I really enjoyed working with the team at Suffolk Resilience Forum to bring this website completely to life! The previous site was broken and unusable, so time was of the essence to get the new website live and functioning, most importantly following accessibility guidelines to ensure the whole website is available to all users.

The design of a website is my favourite part about rebuilding a website. We take the previous website and completely transform the design to follow key user experience principles and optimised elements for conversions. We worked with FAB Communications to redesign and build their website in WordPress, one of the easiest content management systems available which now covers 43% of the internet. I just loved working on this project with multiple layers creating a 3D effect as well as using parallax scrolling and lastly a gratifying colour pallet!

Jamie, Digital Marketer & Video Expert

I really enjoyed working on the Norfolk & Suffolk Unlimited Campaign earlier in the year as we had the opportunity to visit local technology hubs across the region to film and interact with local businesses who are representing the region with great success, such as Adastral Park, The Epicentre, University of Suffolk, Norwich Research Park and more. As the campaign was targeted worldwide, I was proud to be a part of a campaign which helped put Norfolk & Suffolk on the map attracting new businesses from across the world.

Debbie, Finance & Accounts

A couple of favourites that have stood out to me this year. Introducing & setting up Health Care & Health Cash Back plans for all the staff. A very reassuring feeling knowing all my colleagues have extra health care options openly available to them if and when required.

Another part of my summer was helping with closing down and clearing our office premises as now we all work remotely. This was an apprehensive time for me as I was not sure how things would work and seeing everyone in the long run. I needn’t be worried as the move went very smoothly and we all meet up regularly once a week. We have a great baking rota for us all to enjoy homemade treats when we meet, and amazing team-building days together. Plus the flexibility if we choose to work from home or meeting spaces if we want to work together.

Eleanor, Designer

My favourite project for this year was designing some magazine ads for Underfloor Heating Store! It was something new for me and I really enjoyed coming up with different concepts. It made me so happy when we found out the client liked both of them. I even managed to find the physical copy in a store once it had gone to print and that was a really rewarding experience to see my work in the wild! I’m now looking forward to 2023 and all the new opportunities and experiences it will bring.

Sakura, Operations Director

The client project I’m most proud of this year was running a multi-channel recruitment campaign for Suffolk Fire and Rescue including social advertising and email to increase the diversity of applicants. We increased their successful female firefighter applicants to 24% of the pool – a 140% increase over previous years. The team at SFRS were amazing to work with, and it was gratifying to contribute to creating a positive change in an organisation that plays a pivotal role in the safety of our communities.

There are several internal change projects at Capsule that we achieved this year that I have really enjoyed working on. From developing a new well being-focussed flexible benefits package for all employees, to finding better ways to measure profitability, and of course, our move to remote-first working in the autumn, it’s been a year full of growth focussed on adding value for our team, clients and business. If 2023 is anything like 2022, it will be another year of unpredictability and flux. It’s a great feeling to end the year knowing we have an amazing team in place who take great care of each other and our clients and are so adept at flexing and growing as challenges get thrown our way. Looking forward to getting stuck in in January.

Chay, Digital Marketer

Choosing a favourite project for the year is definitely a challenge as there have been so many good ones and all for different reasons! Working with the team at The Hub to improve their online organic visibility has been a highlight. Growing the organic traffic of a news publisher is very different compared to your usual B2B and B2C websites which has allowed me to explore new tools, ways of working and put some of my theoretical knowledge into practice.

Another highlight would be producing SEO led content for Stanbridge, Coreco, Coreco Commercial, FIT, Steven Burton & Co and Whitehouse Solutions. It’s been really interesting researching and writing about all the products and services they offer, from mortgages to sluice rooms to bookkeeping, each area has been interesting in its own way. If my high school English teacher saw this she’d probably have quite a shock as it was never my strongest or favourite subject!

My final highlight would be being asked by Simon to work alongside Jamie and himself to photograph the King’s Proclamation in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. I’ve always enjoyed photography as a hobby but being given the opportunity, and trusted, to take part in such an historic occasion was an experience I’ll never forget!

Want to be our top project of 2023?

Over the last year we’ve really valued working with our lovely clients which span a range of industries in both the public and private sector. We’ve been part of some amazing things and our campaigns have had big impacts and great feedback from the clients as well as the general public.

We’re looking forward to taking a well earned break over Christmas and New Year but we’ll be back at it in 2023 with lots of new and ongoing projects. If you’re looking for a marketing agency for your next project then get in touch with the team at Capsule and who knows, maybe you’ll be our top project in 2023!
