As 2024 draws to a close, I am heartened by the work that Capsule has been entrusted to it by our clients. We have had an incredible 2024 with clients of old, and new clients who have joined us in our quest to deliver great marketing results, whilst enjoying the work we do together. We’ve built up our team with some fresh thinkers and bolstered the knowledge of our core team, with mentoring, training and development. We’re entering 2025 in strong shape, focused on future growth and we will have new ideas and services aplenty as we begin the next phase of Capsule’s evolution. We will keep you up to date with all our exciting developments but for now, I wish you all a peaceful and happy Christmas break with everyone you want around you to enjoy.

I’ve worked on many exciting projects this year, however, one that stands out is the Devolution project for Suffolk County Council. This involved working with multiple stakeholders and in particular, the comms team at the council who are always forward-thinking and have their finger on the pulse too. Together, we worked to develop a strategy that began with the development of a ‘messaging house’, a technique that I developed from working on a strategy house concept in a previous project. The output allowed us to develop a whole campaign message and multi-touchpoint strategy which included a brief for the marketing and design teams here at Capsule. We are currently about to launch another significant comms project for the county of Suffolk, these projects are all about significant change that will bring about improvements to the lives of everyone, at Capsule we call it worthwhile work, or projects that make a difference.
Sakura
The team have been busy with so many fab projects, from strategy work and bridge launches for Suffolk County Council to engaging websites for organisations like Green Suffolk and Diesse; not to mention the innovative campaigns they have been delivering for clients like Sport Birmingham, Zaptec and Snoots Vet. However, my favourite project this year is an internal one. We restructured the team late this year which allowed us to work more effectively, but also provided the opportunity to recognise some team members who were ready to take on leadership roles. Managing this change has been a joy. I’ve really enjoyed working with the team to get some new and reworked systems embedded and working seamlessly across the team.
Georgia
It’s been a busy year for website design and development but there are two projects that stick out as favourites for me. Starting with Diesse, a tile specialist, having worked with them for a long time now, we redesigned and developed their website into a clean, modern and professional look. From their extensive gallery of beautiful images and a small injection of parallax scrolling and micro-interactions, it brings the website to life and I think it looks fantastic. The other project was Green Suffolk. Their website was recreated alongside a brand video which we produced for them using an animated and graphic feel. This important subject needed a fun and exciting way to deliver the information and we think it’s the perfect combination. It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with the team at Green Suffolk and we’re so proud of the pieces of work we’ve created for them.

I’ve really enjoyed working on a number of video and animation projects this year – a stand out being an introductory video for Green Suffolk. As part of a wider design project, it was great to see the projects all coming together and hear the client’s feedback. I’ve also enjoyed working with Georgia on numerous website designs, including the recently launched Diesse site. We’ve also been working on some exciting branding projects that are yet to be announced (watch this space) and I’m looking forward to sharing some of the new animation work we currently have on-going. Roll on 2025!

I can’t believe another year has flown by with Capsule! It’s been a fantastic one filled with a variety of clients and projects, and a special thank you has to be said to them all for being such a pleasure to work with (as well as the Capsule team!). Over the past year, I’ve particularly enjoyed working with Snoots Vet to create a paid social campaign with a humorous, relatable voice. It’s been lots of fun crafting content that speaks to cat and dog parents, just like me. I also really enjoyed the summer TikTok campaign we ran with Skills360 which again allowed me to put my creative head on to combine the latest trends with key messages.

This year has been a special year at capsule as I have had the chance to work with some great clients and projects. I haven’t only enjoyed working on my own projects but I have also loved seeing my coworkers produce some amazing work and collaborate on some great projects together. My favourite project of the year would be working on an email marketing campaign for FIT. There were many hurdles during this project however, it was a great feeling getting it completed and I felt very proud of myself for completing an email campaign from start to finish.

It’s always difficult to choose a favourite project, especially when I’ve had the opportunity to work closely on so many more client projects since joining Capsule full-time. A personal favourite, both in new skills and the day-to-day work, has to be the Organic Social work that we’ve done for QV Systems. Working closely with the QV team on their week-to-week client wins, conference trips and team news has been an adventure every week. Learning the capabilities of the platform and post types, writing engaging content, and using LinkedIn to its full potential has helped grow my insight on projects across the board.

It’s been another great year and exciting to see the Capsule team grow and embrace new trends and marketing tech. We’ve taken on some wonderful new clients and continued to deliver digital marketing returns for our existing clients. I’ve enjoyed working on proposals with the team, hearing their fresh thinking and innovative ideas and pitching our approach to new prospects. I also feel really proud when I share case studies with new leads, as I work with an incredibly talented team! My highlight has to be the webinars we’ve hosted. They are a great opportunity for us to share our knowledge and start conversations with new companies.

Choosing just one project this year is difficult, I have had the opportunity to work on such a wide variety of engaging projects, expanding my skill set across a whole range of mediums. From developing new and exciting brands, creating captivating social content and a variety of print-related works both small and large. One highlight would be the work we’ve done on the Devolution project for Suffolk County Council, helping to build a strong visual identity alongside a number of key assets including an explainer video combining both video and animation.

Whilst I work behind the scenes on the finance, sales and purchase ledger side of things, it can be a challenge when new procedures are introduced. Sakura produced an amazing new finance reporting process which includes pivot tables. This has been such a great addition to keeping track of client projects, billing and monthly turnover. This is one of my favourite tools to use and so informative!

Since joining the team I have had the pleasure of meeting a large, wide variety of clients from Boilers to Tension rods. I have absolutely loved all the work I have done but a highlight for me would be a display ad that has performed exceptionally well for First Intervention Team. Meeting the FIT team has been a pleasure and the results we have been getting as a result of our Google Ads Management service we provide has been excellent and the scope for expansion of our campaigns and all the different levels of support that we have been delivering is only going to increase in volume and I cannot wait! My work with Gas-Elec and Sta-Lok are also testing at times but challenging in a good way with excellent communication and pretty much everything you want from a client! Friendly, great communicators and willing to learn! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for myself and everyone here at Capsule!
