After working with Barley Homes Limited for many years, the team approached us to develop a new comprehensive brand proposition and positioning alongside a modern, user-friendly website. The goal was to define the brand’s identity, refine its communication strategy, and create a seamless online presence that would resonate with its target audience. We also worked hard to meet the 2.2 Accessibility guidelines introduced by the UK government in 2024.
We began the project by holding a dynamic workshop with key stakeholders to develop the brand proposition. This collaborative session enabled us to extract valuable insights and clarify the direction for the brand’s positioning. We conducted market research into the national competitive set, identifying key players in the real estate development market and understanding their messaging. This helped us define Barley Homes’ unique selling points and identify opportunities in the marketplace.
Detailed exercises developed by our team helped us to define the primary, secondary, and tertiary target audiences. We considered their needs, key characteristics, and perceptions of the Barley Homes brand. This exercise helped tailor the messaging to resonate with relevant audience groups and helped to maintain focus on how Barley Homes Limited wanted to be perceived: as a premium, sustainable, and community-focused developer.
Once the new brand was finalised, we took on the website design, focusing on providing an easy-to-navigate, visually appealing experience. The design phase involved wireframing key pages to determine the user journey, ensuring ease of use and intuitive navigation. Colour schemes, typography, and design elements were chosen to reflect the new brand identity: a modern, clean, and approachable look and feel.
After the Barley Homes team approved our design and content, we built the website using WordPress. This allows for easy content management and scalability. We custom-built the theme to ensure that Barley Homes’ unique needs were met while providing flexibility for future updates and changes.
